Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail? The kings of the earth form a united front;
Psalms 2:1-2 (NET)
the rulers collaborate against the LORD and his anointed king.
Today we see rebellion everywhere. It manifests in lawlessness, violence, and wickedness masquerading as good. God’s law is removed from culture, the order of creation is redefined, and God’s people are persecuted.
Just as when the psalm was written, the rebellion is fundamentally against God and his messiah. Behind it all is the unseen realm of fallen entities that are returning once again to fill a spiritual vacuum created by a culture that is expunging God and his word.
How will it end? Psalm 2 speaks to that. But now is a time to keep watch, to discern the times in the light of biblical prophecy, to stay on-mission, and to remain steadfast in the faith.
Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
