The cross of Christ is the most defining moment in history for humans because it presents an offer, an invitation to all people. What will it be for you? Judgement or salvation?
Salvation brings forgiveness, immortality, an inheritance coming in the Kingdom of God in which only those who repent and follow Christ will enter into.
Judgement means the lake of fire forever. Forces of darkness at work today deceiving people will be judged along with all who have chosen them.
Today, I am reminded of my commitment to Christ. I am reminded of the moment when I turned my back on sin to face my Savior. I reject the empty promises of a deceived and wicked culture and I chose the cross. This means loyalty to the Lord who made me and gave himself for me.
That’s what today is about. Remembering what he did for all of us to make that offer of salvation available, and reminding us all the choice is still on the table for anyone who has not yet taken the offer.
